Tara D. Conway, MS, RDN/ LD, CDCES

Tara Conway, MS, RD/LD, CDCES graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2001 with a Master of Science degree in Nutrition, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition Dietetics and an Associates of Applied Sciences in Accounting/Business from Oklahoma State University.

Tara has been a Registered Licensed Dietitian for over 20 years and became a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist in 2007. She has a Certificate in Childhood and Adolescence Weight Management, received her certificate in Adult Weight Management in 2013 and recently obtained her certification as a Diabetes Lifestyle Prevention Coach.

She is the current state leader for Academy of Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, is on the Legislative Task for the Certifying Board for Diabetes Care and Education and is active with the Oklahoma Diabetes Senate Caucus.

Tara owns Conway Nutrition and consults with hospitals, long term care facilities, home health, hospice agencies and works with developmentally disabled adults. She spent 13 years working for tribal programs as a Registered Dietitian and grant coordinator. She has been associated with NYPD since 2004, is a board member as treasurer and previously as secretary.

In 2019, she received the Diabetes Educator of the Year Award in Oklahoma from the Oklahoma American Association of Diabetes Educators. She is dedicated to helping people manage their diseases and in preventing diabetes.
